The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering expert services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed concerning the high number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated sassa Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The service level made for intervention experiences a substantial inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra sources to help the servicing of all customers and boost use of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
